Enabling people to adopt positive lifestyle changes to achieve and maintain a healthy weight

Health Scotland, supported by SkillsActive, is completing a project to develop a new suite of national occupational standards in the area of food, physical activity and health. The standards are intended for use by those working with others to help them achieve and maintain a healthy weight. It is anticipated these new standards will be useful in delivering child healthy weight interventions and maternal and infant nutrition work.

Through a consultation event on Tuesday 20th April 2010 we are looking for feedback to help to ensure the new standards meet the future needs of the health sector. The standards will be used across the UK, and as such, we are seeking representatives to attend from each of the home countries.
