A survey of 24 hour and spot urinary sodium and potassium excretion in a representative sample of the Scottish population (S14032)

This project was commissioned by FSAS to monitor progress towards the Scottish Dietary Targets to reduce salt intakes to 6g/day in the Scottish population and to provide Scottish evidence in monitoring progress towards the same FSA salt target. The project demonstrated that in Scotland, salt intake is similar to that in the UK population. http://www.food.gov.uk/multimedia/pdfs/scotlandsodiumreport.pdf
