Changes to the healthyliving award criteria

Following a recent review of the guidance pack carried out in partnership with the Food Standards Agency Scotland, a small number of changes have been made to the healthyliving award criteria.

Attachments

These include, for example, changes to the nutrient specifications for bought-in products that can be labelled as healthyliving choices. These are aligned with the Food Standards Agency traffic light system for front of pack labelling.

The changes ensure that the award remains in line with national food policy and nutritional guidance.

Caterers will be expected to introduce the changes as soon as possible as they will be assessed on the new criteria at their next assessment visit.
