Community Food and Health (Scotland)

Community Food and Health (Scotland) is a national organisation that supports initiatives in low-income communities to help people take up a healthy diet.

Their aim is to ensure that everyone in Scotland has the opportunity, ability and confidence to access a healthy and acceptable diet for themselves, their families and their communities.

Working closely with local communities, Community Food & Health (Scotland) (CHFS) aims to ensure that the experience, understanding and learning from local communities influences and informs policy development and delivery by encouraging and enabling communities, policy makers and policy deliverers to have the confidence, enthusiasm and capacity to engage with each other and address food access.

Formerly known as the Scottish Community Diet Project, and set up in response to the Scottish Diet Action Plan, Community Food and Health (Scotland) is funded by the Scottish Government and sits within Consumer Focus Scotland.
