Joint Glasgow Community Health Partnership (CHP) & East Dunbartonshire Community Health Care Partnership (CHCP): Recipe Book Update

A project to collate recipes into one resource which can be used to support cookery skills courses taking place in Glasgow and East Dunbartonshire CHP areas.

Glasgow CHP and East Dunbartonshire CHCP are currently working on a recipe book for this year’s project.  The aim of this project is to collate recipes into one resource which can be used to support cookery skills courses taking place in Glasgow and East Dunbartonshire CHP areas.  Following a presentation made to the Department of Human Nutrition (DofHN), students at Glasgow University and a meeting with the Health Improvement Nutrition Network (HINN), a meeting then took place with the DofHN with a view of them carrying out this work as part of their Summer Project.

A Masters student from the DofHN, as part of their dissertation, will carry out an evaluation of the recipe book.  Those who deliver cookery skills courses in Glasgow and East Dunbartonshire CHP areas will receive an evaluation questionnaire.  Focus groups of cookery skills participants will be arranged in each area and a percentage of those will be individuals who have taken part in cookery skills courses over the last two years.

We will keep you updated on the developments of this project over the next few months.
