Research findings RUHBC – Dec 2008 edition

December's edition of Research Findings from the Research Unit in Health, Behaviour & Change (RUHBC) focuses on 'Food, health, exercise and weight: The experiences and concerns of young teenagers from higher socio-economic status families'.

This is the second part of the qualitative research of investigating Scottish parents' and young people's perceptions of diet, weight and health within  different socio-economic groups.
It is a ESRC-funded research project entitled:Parents' & Teenagers' Conceptions of Diet, Weight and Health: Does Class Matter? lwhich was aunched in April 2009. Dr W J Wills of the Centre for Research in Primary and Community Care, University of Hertfordshire, led the research team, which also involved researchers from the Research Unit in Health, Behaviour and Change at the University of Edinburgh.
