The Commonwealth Orchard

Linking children, communities, businesses, and landowners to plant fruit trees across Scotland

In March 2011, the Commonwealth Orchard put out a census in Scotland in order to gain a snapshot of existing Orchards and "Grow Your Own" initiatives in operation.

The purpose of the census was to understand the landscape of “Grow Your Own” and Orchards in Scotland at a point in time, use the information to inform future actions, and stimulate ideas of how to develop grassroots food growing more effectively.

To read the feedback from this survey you can either go to the Community Food and Health website or The Commonwealth Orchard site which will also provide you with more information regarding the range of their work.
