Healthy Food Code of Good Practice

The Food Standards Agency (FSA) and the Department of Health (DH) jointly wrote to food industry leaders and other interested parties back in July 2008 setting out plans to assist in delivering the Healthy Food Code of Good Practice. This code of practice was outlined in the publication of the Department of Health's 'Healthy Weight, Healthy Lives' strategy.

Healthy Weight, Healthy Lives: A Cross-Government Strategy for England

This strategy paper was launched by the Health Secretary Alan Johnson, and the Secretary of State for Children, Schools and Families, Ed Balls in January 2008. It provides details of cross departmental plans to tackle the obesity epidemic, and is the beginning of a programme designed to support people to achieve and maintain a healthy weight in England.

Healthy T area is music to fans’ ears
