The Schools (Health Promotion and Nutrition) (Scotland) Bill was introduced to Parliament on 8 September 2006. The bill is an important step to improve the health of young people in Scotland.
It will help to improve the health of young people by embedding the active promotion of a healthy lifestyle within schools as well as ensuring that food and drink supplied in local authority schools is nutritious. Stage 3 of the bill was scheduled for some time between 14-21 March.
