It is important to ensure that everyone who works within the food and health sectors have an opportunity to have an input into this discussion document Better Health, Better Care.
Better Health, Better Care (PDF, 2.35Mb) is designed to seek discussion on the Scottish Government's strategic objectives and the best ways to achieve them.
These focus within seven strategic topics of:
Within each topic, it is important to consider: the key factors when implement these objectives, issues to consider, and who is appropriate to be included in the implementation. Hence it is important to seek stakeholders' opinions from a wider audience other than the NHS sector.
The Government wish to use your feedback to help shape their action plan, which will be published in December 2007.

2. Send your comments to the Alliance and we will co-ordinate a members? response.
To aid this process of gathering members' views, a form has been developed, which can be downloaded below. It focuses specifically on food and health (from the above topics, this is topics 3, 4 and 6). However, we will gather members' comments from any aspect of the document.
All comments will be gathered and fed back through to the Scottish Government. This report of Alliance members' views will also be posted on the website mid November.
