- Anticipatory Care: Keep Well & Beyond Conference
5-6 March
Beardmore Hotel & Conference Centre, Clydebank
The Keep Well programme is hosting a national conference from 5-6 March next year. The aim is to increase the level of awareness, understanding and ownership of the current heart health, health inequalities and anticipatory care agenda in Scotland. The target audience include representatives from all statutory and non-statutory organisations who are delivering Keep Well at a local level. Also individuals with a general interest in Keep Well, Heart Health and/or Anticipatory Care from with in or out with the Keep Well areas.
This conference will be free of charge and so places will be limited. To register your interest, please email keepwell@health.scot.nhs.uk. Booking forms and an outline programme will be available in December 2007.

- Beyond TV advertising

Westminster in London
The Westminster Food and Nutrition Forum keynote seminar, Beyond TV advertising, will take place on 19 March in Westminster, London.
This meeting will bring key stakeholders in industry and interest groups together with policy makers to discuss the way forward for policy, and to share insights on best practice and developing trends in food marketing.
Sessions will look at:
- The latest thinking from the Department of Health, and from stakeholders, on the impact of HFSS food advertising on children and young people;
- Options for further regulating children's exposure to food marketing, and the possible consequences for food manufacturers and retailers, and for children and parents; and
- The latest thinking on ways to promote the benefits of healthy eating to children, including the roles of industry, parents, teachers and the government.
Speakers include Will Cavendish, Department of Health and Richard Watts, Children's Food Campaign.
