Creative Imaginative Learning is a trainer development course designed specifically for individuals who are looking to gain and increase their abilities as a trainer.
Based around the latest research into brain-friendly learning techniques and accelerated learning principles, this course is designed to focus on the learner by providing an enriching learning environment with practical tools that can immediately be used in your courses.
If you are new to training, haven’t trained in some time or are experienced but want to re-energise your programmes, this course is ideal for you. The principle aim of this course is to aid you in becoming the best trainer you can be.
The event costs £300 per person and is non-residential.

The CPG on Food has scheduled a series of meetings to discuss three themes of the Scottish Government's National Food and Drink Policy. The meeting on 10 December 2008 will address Work Stream 2 - Food and Drink Choices. The aim of Work Stream 2 is:
To work with the food and drink industry to enable and support consumers to make healthier and more sustainable choices, by exploring the opportunities, limitations and barriers for influencing those choices.
At the meeting, there will be presentations from Professor Annie Anderson (Centre for Public Health Nutrition Research Department of Medicine University of Dundee Ninewells Hospital and Medical School Dundee), chair of Work Stream 2 and the Rowett Institute.
The meeting will take place in Committee Room 5, Scottish Parliament at 5.30pm. If you would like to attend please email scotphn@health.scot.nhs.uk. There is no need to do so, if you are a member of the CPG on Food and have already indicated to that secretariat that you will attend.
For information, the CPG Food discussed 'Food Security, Access and Affordability' (WS5) on 12 November 2008 and will discuss 'Reputation' (WS3) on 25 February 2009. The CPG Food will submit a record of the discussions to the Scottish Government and to the relevant work streams to consider as part of their deliberations.

This is the second of two events. A non-residential course aimed at those whose primary focus is increasing participation and who do some training and those whose primary focus is training and want to work on improving participation.
The training involves the initial event in September 2008 and this event. There will be follow up and mentoring support after the workshop sessions.
