An exciting job opportunity has arisen for an Event Officer to set up a new conference and training course service within the Medical Faculty, University of Glasgow.

The post holder will be developing conference and training courses for the Nursing & Health Care, Faculty of Medicine. This will involve developing programmes, marketing, event organisation, and financial management, administration, supervising an event assistant and developing new business.

Ideally we are looking for someone with previous event work experience, enthusiasm, excellent communications skills and the ability to work independently. The post holder will need to be market-driven and have the ability to generate new business and income. A knowledge and interest in health related subjects would be helpful.

The post is for 1 year in the first instance with the possibility of extension.
