Primary Producers

Produce-specific bodies provide research, guidance and marketing assistance for all areas of agriculture and primary producers including the rearing of livestock for dairy and meat, poultry for meat and eggs, fish farming as well the growing of all types of crops from cereals to fruit and vegetables.

Various organisations are involved in supporting these practices and those who work in the industries of the agricultural sector. These include seed producers, farm equipment suppliers, animal stock-breeders and carriers as well as organisations such as the National Farmers Union Scotland and the Scottish Agricultural Organisation Society.
